We had the pleasure of working with Jasmine and the team, to bring our dream home into reality! From the first initial phone conversation with Jasmine, I knew that she was the person that do just this. We were building a new house and JMD helped us design the kitchen, lounge, laundry, powder room, main bedroom/ensuite, main bathroom and outdoor living. Jasmine was able to establish quickly what our lifestyle was and what we wanted to achieve to make this our home. She was patient, tested our boundaries (for the greater good) and always presented us with options/new ideas. The team were responsive and knowledgeable, making communication with all achievable.

Jasmine was recommended to us by our builder and she proved everything he promised: top end, meticulous in design and detail and providing the whole package.

We were looking for someone to design three bathrooms where there had been two, and work out some extremely tricky roof lines and sloping ceilings – a job that seemed to confuse and confound most people who looked at it. Jasmine and her team were exceptional – measuring and working out all the relevant roof heights and slopes that went everywhich way, moving walls and using cavities but all with minimal building needs.

The outcome is three beautiful modern bathrooms using every bit of space thoughtfully with plenty of storage and every convenience considered. They look amazing and are so easy to live in.

We were under a very tight time deadline to get all the plans and fixtures and fittings ordered in time for the build to start and Jasmine and her team prioritised our job so that this all worked and the entire job was completed to time. (The builder that we used works with Jasmine closely and often and he was by far the best builder we’ve ever worked with.)

I have would highly recommend JM Design and in fact I already have a friend using their services. You won’t regret it!

Jasmine was an absolute delight to work with, and we have no hesitation in recommending her.
Jasmine was the only designer we interviewed who demonstrated that she understood what client centred really meant. She genuinely listened to our brief and seemed to bring no preconceived ideas to the table, however she was also able to incorporate her great ideas and design vision. She worked well with our builder, and her ego never got in the way of incorporating his or our ideas into the design. We were sure there were times she didn’t agree with the choices we made, however she never lost sight of it being our house and our project.
The space that we had was tricky (and had stumped some others), however Jasmine was able to think outside the square to renovate the space into something that we really love. At the end of the project we have no design regrets - and we would hazard a guess that few can say that of a renovation project.
We did our renovation at a particularly stressful time (during Covid lockdowns), and Jasmine’s sunny outlook and upbeat personality was perfect to jolly us along when stress and decision fatigue was starting to take its toll.

We first approached Jasmine and JMD in 2018, after spending a lot of time searching through Houzz, to assist with a refresh of our house. At the time our children were on the cusp of leaving home, and we wanted to zone the living spaces to better suit a couple, but also make the house more sustainable and contemporary. Two bathrooms, a kitchen, powder room, and upgraded living spaces later, we are delighted with our home, which is now a cozy oasis that works cohesively, whether there are two of us, or the extended brood is staying. Over five years and two separate projects, Jasmine and her team have been wonderful to work with. They are great at listening, challenging, incorporating your lifestyle, and developing a palette that suits you and your needs, not just relying on the latest design fad. Communication is easy; Jasmine and the extended team, including the lovely Barbra, are prompt, efficient and understanding, particularly if you are trying to manage these projects while juggling work and family life. They also have fabulous relationships with a preferred builder, who is amazing, and many other artisans who bring a bespoke aspect to the overall finish. We love the outcome Jasmine and JMD have delivered for us and will continue to recommend them to anyone wanting to improve the liveability and ambience of their home.

We have worked with Jasmine McClelland Design twice now, first in our apartment and more recently our house, where Jasmine and her team created beautiful spaces without compromising on functionality. On both occasions Jasmine turned bland, boxy spaces into homes with soul, that are a joy to exist in. Jasmine has created spaces that we have a sense of connection with, that 'just feel right'. Walking in the door always feels good, and at the end of a long day, like home is truly the only place in the world we want to be.

My husband and I engaged Jasmine to design our internal spaces for our brand new house by the beach. She connected with us in a delightful and thoughtful manner to gauge the style we wanted and how we would use the spaces. Her initial design hit the brief! Jasmine came up with many ideas that we used to enhance the designs, her great eye for curating the finishes for all our cabinetry, benchtops and splashbacks was amazing. Her gift for combining the perfect colour palette for our beachside home exceeded my expectation! I was completely delighted.

We also engaged Jasmine to help decorate some of our spaces, she brought together the contemporary style of the architecture and our love of mid-century design, to create a home which is elegant and warm.

Jasmine managed to steer me away from of some of my disorganised thoughts but at the same time come up with viable alternatives! I’m sure I tried her patience, but she understood it was a big moment for us to get this right and was extremely thoughtful and nurturing.

My family is thrilled with the end result and we smile every-time we enter the house. It definitely ticks all the boxes for us! We would not hesitate to recommend Jasmine and her team.

Jasmine and her wonderful team helped us renovate our 50 year old house. The entire experience was seamless and very rewarding. We were particularly impressed with the prompt replies our queries and coordination between Jasmine, our builder Luke and various trades. It took the stress away from our renovation. We originally engaged Jasmine to assist with interior design and finishes throughout our entire house. We had already started the building process. We soon discovered that Jasmine's talents extend way beyond choosing finishes and tiles. Jasmine immediately identified areas of our design where the functionality could be improved. We took on board Jasmine's design ideas and the result has been a significant improvement to the style and functionality of our house, in particular the kitchen/dining/loungeroom and Master Bedroom Retreat including a stunning Dressing Room and Ensuite. We were so impressed we continued our relationship with Jasmine right through the building phase to the final selection of soft furnishings for the final product.From the initial meeting, Jasmine listened to us and was immediately in tune with the design outcomes that we were aiming for. She created the unique warm and welcoming home that we had dreamed of with the use of natural timber and industrial hints as well as maximising natural light and function that is incredibly to live in each day.

We have worked with Jasmine since late 2011 on the renovation of our home in Toorak. It was built in the late 70s with some good and some not so good design features of the era – like dark exposed brickwork. We wanted to make it more comfortable without losing the attractive design features. Jasmine provided design advice on the whole process, but particularly on the kitchen and living area on the ground floor, and the three bathrooms and bedrooms on the top floor.

Jasmine has a good design sense, design flair and an attention to detail. But she does not impose her views – she suggests ideas and if we did not immediately accept them she would explain the reasons based on proportion or appearance or design or colour. We would also suggest ideas and Jasmine would give us advice in a polite, friendly and frank way about whether she felt they would work, or how they could be improved. The whole process was very collaborative. We respected her design sense and she respected what we were trying to achieve.

During the whole design and build process, Jasmine was reliable, and responsive to questions and to dealing with issues that arose. She gave us the time we needed to think about design decisions and to check drawings. When the situation demanded during construction, she was happy to deal on the phone with issues as they arose from ourselves or the builder or cabinet maker or other trades.

The results have exceeded our expectations. We have a ground floor that is light and airy, with an elegant new kitchen with delightful 70s touches. The top floor is cosy and comfortable including two good sized bedrooms with practical, elegant, and bright en suite bathrooms and a master suite complete with a sun light filled bathroom that is a delight to use, and an elegant but low key walk in.
